Kakadu Cultural Tours Terms and Conditions

This general information relates to Kakadu Cultural Tours Pty. Ltd. and its products listed on this website, herein after referred to as ‘The Company’.

General Notes:


    All fares are valid from 1st April 2017 - 31st March 2018 in Australian Dollars (AUD).
    AUD Prices include the Australian Goods & Services Tax of 10% (GST).
    Gross fares listed on website may vary from brochured rates due to seasonal changes.
    We reserve the right to alter fares in the case of unforeseen circumstances.
    We reserve the right to impose surcharges as appropriate due to the introduction of government taxes e.g. carbon tax.


KCT, and its associated companies, have factored in additional cost of fuel in the calculation of its day tour fares for season 2017/2018 with information available at time. We do not anticipate any surcharges being implemented during the course of the season. However, we do reserve the right to apply a fuel surcharge and/or alter fares in the case of unforeseen circumstances.
Minimum Numbers

Tours require a minimum of 2 passengers to operate, in some cases where only 2 pax are booked on a tour - an alternative tour may be offered or alternative dates of touring may be offered.

Operating Days

KCT reserves the right to cancel or alter tour itineraries as deemed necessary.  Alterations to schedules and/or itineraries may occur due to road, weather or tidal conditions, strikes, cultural issues, public holidays and accommodation availability etc.  The company gives no guarantee as to the exact arrival or departure times as circumstances beyond our control may influence this. Tours require a minimum of 2 passengers to operate, alternatives or refunds will be offered to customers inconvenienced by changes.

Exclusion of Liability

The responsibility of KCT in connection with these tours is limited to the carriage of passengers and their luggage. The sale or provision of other services described within these rates is made by KCT as an agent and shall not be held liable for any accident, injury, delay, irregularity, loss or any damage caused by or resulting from provision of or failure to provide any such services. KCT strongly recommends that travel insurance be taken to cover against cancellation fees, loss or damage to baggage and costs arising from illness or acts of nature, e.g. cyclones, flooding, etc.

Courtesy Hotel Pick Up / Drop Off Service Where Applicable

Pick-up times:
Pick-up and drop-off service is provided from Jabiru hotels for Arnhemlander Tours and wet-season products. Arnhemlander Pick-ups commence at 7.45am and are usually complete by around 8.05am. Please wait in hotel reception or outside, 5 minutes prior to earliest pick-up time of 7.45am. Times are provided as a guideline and may, at times, be affected by traffic conditions or pick-up delays. Coach pick-ups may be by another appointed contractor. Interstate & overseas passengers should re-confirm their pick-up times 24 hours prior.

Pick-up Address:
Pick-up and drop-off hotel details are required at the time of booking.

NOTE: Every effort is made to locate passengers upon arrival at their pick-up point.  If our driver/tour co-ordinator is unable to locate the passengers at the appointed time, customers will be considered as a no-show where cancellation fees apply.

Cancellation Policies

Due to the extensive organisation involved with touring, cancellation fees are applicable to compensate for costs and lost revenue.  We strongly recommend your customers take out travel insurance to cover against such charges.

Every effort will be made to re-schedule bookings where possible.

Hawk Dreaming Wilderness Lodge

Due to our remote location, cancellation fees are applicable to compensate for costs and lost revenue:

    100% cancellation fee - if cancelled less than 7 days of booked arrival time or no show
    50% cancellation fee – if cancelled within 7-14 days of booked arrival time
    10% cancellation fee- if cancelled within 14 – 50 days of booked arrival time

Guluyambi and Arnhemlander Tours

SPECIAL NEEDS: If anyone has special needs or requirements as part of the cruise, please ensure you advise on booking or call the Jabiru office at in advance on 1800 525 238 FREE. Please note that the Arnhemlander day tour and Guluyambi cruise are not suitable for wheelchair passengers.

    100% cancellation fee – if cancelled within 48 hours of departure
    50% cancellation fee – if cancelled 48 hour to 7 days prior to departure
    No cancellation fee – if cancelled more than 7 days prior to departure

Child fares: Applicable to passengers between the ages of 4 - 14 years inclusive.
All children over the age of 12 months must occupy a seat on cruises.
Children from 1 to 4 years are provided with a reserved seat free of charge on cruises only.
Children under 12 months of age (infants) travel free of charge whilst being nursed on cruises.
Children under 4 years cannot be catered for on Arnhemlander Day Tour or the Ubirr/Magela Combo – no child safety seats available.
Children under 12 months of age (infants) not suited to the Arnhemlander Tour – no infant capsule restraint fittings available.
Kakadu Cultural Tours Notes:

K86 Guluyambi Cultural Cruise - Hotel Pick-ups and drop-offs are not available. Passengers must make their own way to the Upstream Boat Ramp on the East Alligator River.
National Park Entry Fee is NOT included in Tour or Cruise costs as these Tours & Cruises depart from Kakadu.
Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend passengers to take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances which may arise (including cancellation fees, medical and curtailment expenses, loss of luggage, early departure from tour due to death or illness etc.). Ask your Travel Agent for details whilst planning your trip.
